Dr. med. Peymaneh Amini discovered her passion for plastic surgery after completing her work as a medical intern (1999). Since then, she has exclusively worked in the field of plastic surgery. Her enthusiasm for this field motivated her to deliver top performancse all through her training at the Merheim Caplus of the private university Witten/Herdecke, Department for Plastic Surgery, Serious Burns Centre, Reconstruction and Hand Surgery (Prof. Dr. Dr. med. halbil. G. Spiler), Chair for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. In 2003, as senior physician she was commissioned with managing the department of plastic, aesthetic as well as reconstructive mammary surgery and laser surgery.

In 2006, she obtained her specialist qualification for plastic and aesthetic surgery. One year later she was named senior physician of the Department for Plastic Surgery as a result of her dedication.

From then on she was the permanent representative of the medical director of the clinic. Her attention to detail and her strive for perfection drove her to obtain her additional qualification for hand surgery in 2009, which today is one of the four pillars of plastic surgery. In addition to the entire field of plastic surgery, her main areas of expertise are breast surgery, fatty tissue surgery and aesthetic surgery.

During her 8 years of employment in the Department for Plastic Surgery at the Cologne Merheim Campus, Ms. Dr. Amini published numerous publications, including one on a particularly low-scarring technique for the reduction of very heavy breasts, based on 120 cases.

She works as an expert consultant for the arbitration board of the General Medical Council of North Rhine- Westphalia as well as the Regional Court of Bonn.
